About Us

Wild Roots opened in June of 2017 with a mission to help folks add more green to their lives. Located in an old auto repair garage in the Grand Central District of St. Pete, FL, our peaceful houseplant haven is full of wild and wondrous things for your home. From houseplants to air plants, succulents to tropicals, we offer an eclectic botanical selection that is always evolving. In fact, we hand-select new inventory weekly in order to provide our customers with the finest specimens available.

“Stay wild” is an expression you’ll come across often around here. It’s a simple reminder to be true to yourself and never stop following your heart.

Our Roots

Greenhouses have a special energy that I have been fascinated with ever since I was a small girl, tagging along with mom as we explored her fern nursery and I asked the name of every different species we encountered along the way. There’s nothing quite like breathing in that warm humid air filled with aromas of damp soil and freshly sprouted leaves. It is serene and revitalizing all at once.

It is from this place of wonder that Wild Roots has grown in my heart for many years and in the form of a physical space since 2017. Working with plants is a pretty sweet gig, but the best part is getting to share the magic of plants with my community.

It is my sincere pleasure to pass along my knowledge and lifelong love of plants, from my roots to yours.
